Our Story
Hype FM is located in Kitwe and is licensed to broadcast to the Copperbelt and surrounding areas on 107.3 FM. It is also available to the rest of the world via streaming platforms. Hype FM is Zambia's first entrepreneurship and health-focused radio station, founded with the goal of accelerating entrepreneur growth and people's wellness in the region by providing access to health information via radio. Our primary target audiences are young urban adults who embrace a pragmatic and successful lifestyle in order to actively transform with their constantly changing environment. In addition, the youth in the peri-urban setting as we build a bridge to connect the two groups.
Hype FM is a music-focused, forward-thinking lifestyle brand. It personifies youth success and leadership, complete with attitude. We take pride in providing music to our listeners that describes various life styles, confidence, potential, and the enviable ability to feel at home in modern Zambia.
It was launched in 2022 to compete with the now-defunct "Radio outside studio." With a desire to provide our clients with on-air and real-time advertising. We take pride in representing black leadership and success, and we hope to become the Copperbelt's radio hub. Also, to instill a sense of accomplishment, style, and confidence in listeners.

Vision
Through interactive radio, we hope to provide diverse information and education on entrepreneurship, health, and agriculture as a means of diversification in a predominantly mining environment. The end result is that the Copperbelt will be transformed into a multi-sector province capable of surviving and providing employment for the youth through entrepreneurial activities other than mining.
